    <answer label="Jose Mesa">RHP, b. 1966.  Both of these players are stoppers who failed to excel during prime time.  Van Devanter was one of the Four Horsemen of the New Deal, consistently opposing FDR, but he rarely spoke for the Court in constitutional cases.  Mesa's most significant meltdown in relief was with the Cleveland Indians when he blew a 2-1 lead in game 7 of the 1997 World Series, which the Florida Marlins eventually won 3-2 in 11 innings.  For the series Mesa posted a 5.40 ERA and gave up 10 hits in only 5 innings pitched.</answer>
    <answer label="John Franco">LHP, b. 1960.  Tops among active relievers in 2001 with over 420 lifetime saves.</answer>
    <answer label="Jeff D’Amico">RHP, b.1975. Brewer’s starter who missed the 1998 and 1999 campaigns, but bounced back in 2000 to record a 12-7 record, while nearly leading the league with a 2.66 ERA.</answer>
    <answer label="Curt Schilling">RHP, b. 1966.  Despite shoulder surgery in 2000, has continued to dominate batters in 2001, averaging over a strikeout per inning, just like his teammate Randy Johnson.</answer>
